Dragon's Den- Post Programme Release 12.11.2018

Deborah Meaden to support Greenford Entrepreneur following TV appearance!

TV Dragon Deborah Meaden is joining Greenford Entrepreneur Robert Sak following his TV appearance showcasing his unique bread business - Pure Grain Breads. The 51-year-old businessman only started his business in North-West London three years ago but it has grown to produce more than half a million pounds turnover a year, tapping into the demand for healthier gluten free breads from Poland.

Robert is delighted with his new business partner. He chose her from three offers in the Den, accepting her £40 000 for a 20% stake in the business. He says: “I am absolutely delighted to be working with Deborah! I went into the Den hoping to meet somebody with great experience in scaling the business, somebody with contacts in the market I operate in and at the same time someone who would recognise and share my passion and vision for the products. It was an invaluable, fantastic experience. I was the last to go in on the day so the waiting was probably the hardest part of it.”

Deborah says she too is delighted. She says: The Free From and Vegan food sector has been growing steadily and Heart of Nature Pure Grain Bread is as Free From as you can get! However, being really good for you is not enough, the product needs to look and taste great…which this does (particularly toasted with some avocado spread on top mmm). The combination of a great product in a strong market and in the hands of a focused and smart Entrepreneur…..won me over! I am most definitely IN!!

Consumer Release

Heart of Nature breads are unique high fibre loaves packed with seeds and whole grains. There is now a delicious new, protein rich addition to the range: ‘White Quinoa’.

The range which claims to be one of “the healthiest breads in the world”, packs each loaf with health boosting whole grains, super seeds and fruits including Chia, Pumpkin, Sunflower, Linseeds, Cranberry or Prune. The entire range is wheat/ gluten free free, and all breads are suitable for vegans.

The Heart of Nature bread is packed with seeds, which are all full of vitamins and minerals. Baked with zero added sugars, and without the use of any additives, The Heart of Nature comes in six varieties; New White Quinoa, Prunes, Chia, Cranberries, Green Olives and Original Mix.

It has even been given enthusiastic support from renowned nutrition writer Ursula Arens who is a monthly columnist for the magazine read by professional dietitians and nutritionists: Network Health Digest magazine (www.nhdmag.com). “Very few people consume enough fibre, but Heart of Nature is packed full of it. In fact, just one slice provides a fifth of the recommended daily intake and a whopping 50% more than is needed to qualify a product as high in fibre! It’s also full of health boosting nutrient-rich seeds and unlike other products which are labelled as ‘healthy’, the Heart of Nature range truly deserves top seed status.”

Topped with a much-loved avocado smash and squeeze of lemon it makes for a super nutritious summer lunch. Or pack it into the picnic basket with some hearty hummus and a splash of chilli sauce for alfresco feasting at its best.

Each loaf is made to a traditional Polish recipe, where bread is not just an everyday staple, but held at the heart of their culture, offered as a symbol of hope at wedding ceremonies that the couple will never go hungry.

The Heart of Nature loaves are now available in Waitrose, Ocado, Wholefoods Market and Planet Organic priced at £2.99- £3.49. Alternatively, you can order online at www.puregrainbread.com.

Robert Sak, Managing Director of Smakosz Limited- company behind the launch, says, “As sales of mainstream bread have declined, consumers are increasing their purchase of functional and artisan breads. We are launching Heart of Nature to capitalise on this. Whilst Pure Grain bread is popular throughout Poland, there is nothing like it on offer in the UK. We wanted to introduce an authentic Polish bread which we believe is the healthiest in the world. It provides vitamins C, E, B6, A and F as well as slow release energy to support blood sugar regulation beneficial for weight loss. So far, we’ve received entirely positive customer feedback.

Sak continues “There is no denying how influential the health food market has become and The Heart of Nature range offers a completely new bread to that market. As well as on-shelf in Waitrose, Wholefoods, Ocado, Planet Organic and additional independents, the company is currently in talks with other multiple retailers.” The loaves retail at a recommended sale price of £2.15 - £4.49 dependent on variant. The bread is freezable, has long 35-63 days shelf life and can be delivered Worldwide.
